Shelley brings her experience, creativity and warmth to her work at Centerpoint. She came to Centerpoint several years ago during her own career transition and found that she loved Centerpoint’s mission. She knows what it is like to be in transition and draws from her own experience to create a safe space for her clients.
Shelley enjoys her work as workshop facilitator and career counselor. She works with people of all ages and backgrounds, but she is particularly fond of working with clients in their 20s and 30s who are seeking to creatively find their niche in the world of work. She brings a unique mixture of kindness and strength as she helps people move towards personal transformation.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Shelley holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology and a B.A. in Human Development and Family Studies and a Certificate in Cycles of Change⢠from Centerpoint Institute. Shelley also has a private mental health counseling practice where she specializes in helping individuals who have health problems with an emotional component. Shelley has over 10 years of experience working with individuals and groups. Before finding her way to Centerpoint, she worked in community mental health as counselor doing case management, crisis intervention, and leading groups for people with chronic mental illness.
