Getting Started

At Centerpoint we imagine a world where everyone’s life is powered by passion and purpose! Since 1992 we’ve been successfully assisting tens of thousands of people to create more meaningful and passionate lives and careers and Look Forward to Monday Again™.

You can choose from a variety of services including workshops, retreats, and individual career counseling. Centerpoint takes an à la carte approach to its offerings. Since each person comes in with varying amounts of information and knowledge about him/herself, we find that the combination of services that’s just right varies from person to person.

There are several ways to determine what will be right for you:

1. Attend a Free Orientation to visit Centerpoint, learn all about how the career process really works, meet one of our staff members, and ask lots of questions to determine if our services fit what you need.
2. Schedule a 30-minute Planning Session with a career counselor to evaluate and plan the best mix of services for your needs.
3. Jump right in and attend the next LifeWork Renewal™ Workshop. In addition to being a foundation workshop and a prerequisite for many of our other multi-session classes, you learn a map to navigate change and transition. This is an extremely useful tool for getting unstuck and moving forward.

Judy’s Story

Many years ago, I spent some one-on-one career counseling time at Centerpoint, trying find “me” and what I wanted out of life. I have never forgotten the time with the counselor and the things that she said and encouraged me to do.

I was not getting the support from my husband at that time..and so I continued to just “be.” When I finally had the courage to leave a bad marriage, I became a stronger woman than I ever thought I could be, even through the pain of divorce. Actually it was that pain, that made me stronger.

So many wonderful things have happened to me, in my new life.

I have wonderful children and beautiful grandkids and a most amazing husband!

But…the best part is that last July, I graduated from college with a Bachelors Degree in Business with a focus on Accounting. I am running my own accounting/bookkeeping company and am finally “ME.” Thanks to the support and encouragement of my wonderful husband, friends and family.

Through that time of divorce and later through the struggle of college at almost 50 years old…..I remember so many of the things that we talked about.

I guess you could say, I have found my path in life and it is better than I ever thought it could be. I just had to find my path, walk it and embrace it and then do it. And I did!

Now, I never say “I can’t” and I never walk away from any experience because of fear! I even ride roller coasters now!! Fear is not my friend and I do not allow it to make my decisions for me.

Every person we meet in life, has some sort of connection with what we can become…and meeting my Centerpoint career counselor led me to where I am now!

The Career Process happens in stages and each step naturally leads to the next. For example, you need to be clear about who you are and what you want before you can begin your job search.
